this is a great post for getting the word o...Phil,

this is a great post for getting the word out there (and I especially love the "I went to j-school to avoid math" thing. This is true of pretty much every liberal arts major -- what, you think they just love Shakespeare soooo much? -- and needs to be publicized at every opportunity).

But..... I mean, LOOK at the chart.

My friend, if they grokked to facts and logic they wouldn't be liberals. Sometimes I really do think their "thought" process is basically just word association:

"cut" means "euthanize grandma."

"reduce" means "harm black people."

"tax break" means "enrich Wall Street fat cats."

"limit" (in any context other than "limit Rush Limbaugh's airtime") means "racist."

We really need to start learning to speak in buzzwords. Since that's all they learn in college -- and then mistake their mastery of $5 locutions like "paradigm" and "reify" for real learning -- we can let them feel all smart but still get things done if we just learn to obfuscate a little. Maybe we can use "deprioritizing the heteronormative praxis" for "eliminating the NEA." Something like that. It's verbose, confusing, and 100% fact free. It's the liberal trifecta!Severianhttp://academiczoology.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
