To Anacreon in Heaven

In all fairness, it turns out the Star Spangled Banner itself used a tune borrowed from a British Music and Merriment club's song of the joys of women and wine, an ode to the Greek Poet Anacreon.

To which I say, "hear, hear!"

It does not change my stance on Nuestra Himna at all. While songs, especially in years past -- recycled melodies, the intent of The Star Spangled Banner was never meant as a substitute or to have any sort of equal footing to To Anacreon in Heaven or vice versa.

It's the intent and subjugation I object to.
