Evil Toys and Big Government

Happy Meals.  Come with toys.  Little kids love them.  Parents use them as rewards sometimes, or a treat for their kids.

But ... we can't have that.

The newscaster asked "is this another example of Big Government telling us what we can and can't do?"

Ummmmm  .... let me think here for a second, because that's a toughie.

At any rate ... I think maybe we should change the wording. It is an example of a special interest group (the food cops -- often fronts for animal rights groups) trying to use the coercive power of the Government to force us do do or not do what they want us to do  .... or not do.

And we have gotten away from a government that gives them a big "hell no" when they try.

I believe McDonalds already put the kibosh on Ronald and the rest of the McDonaldland characters, on the grounds that they wanted to reduce fast-food advertising aimed at kids. You know, obesity epidemic and all that. As if a clown and purple blob guy mattered one way or the other on how many burgers some kid eats.

Now this. It never ends. And they say WE'RE the crazy ones for pointing and yelling "Communists!"
